Jenn is a compassionate Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and practicum student in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University, practicing under the clinical supervision of Registered Psychotherapist Brady Hutchinson. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph and an Honours Bachelor of Social Work from McGill University. Jenn will be joining the team at Cornerstone Counselling following completion of her degree in April. Her clinical background includes meaningful experience in adult mental health and sexual assault crisis work — experience that has deeply shaped her commitment to meeting clients with compassion, care, and respect for their unique story.
Jenn works with adults and teens (16+), supporting individuals navigating mental health concerns such as depression or anxiety, as well as sleep hygiene, relationship stressors, intimate partner violence, sexual violence, grief and loss. She has particular experience working with neurodivergent individuals and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, as well as their family members and loved ones. Drawing from person-centred, feminist, and trauma-informed approaches, Jenn weaves in mindfulness and self-compassion practices to help clients build a deeper relationship with themselves and find their own path toward healing.
At the heart of Jenn’s approach is a deep respect for each client’s individual story and the context that has shaped it. She believes that the experiences, identities, and circumstances a person carries are not symptoms to be corrected, but meaningful parts of a larger human story worthy of curiosity and understanding. Every person who walks through her door is met with genuine warmth, a non-judgmental presence, and the belief that they are the expert of their own life.
